EIP Hub @ Devcon 8 India - Where Ethereum Standards Come Together
About the event
EIP Hub is a four-day Devcon community space at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from November 3 to 6, 2026. It focuses on Ethereum Improvement Proposals, ERC standards, protocol upgrades and adoption. First-time contributors, students, standards authors, protocol researchers, client developers, application builders and enterprise architects are welcome.
Daily themes
- November 3 covers the EIP process: the proposal lifecycle, governance, authorship, editing, specification review and ways to contribute.
- November 4 focuses on protocol development and network upgrades, including client implementations, Core and Meta EIPs, testing, devnets and AllCoreDevs.
- November 5 examines application-layer ERCs, wallets, interoperability, ENS, security and account abstraction, with tooling, demonstrations and developer experience among the subjects.
- November 6 turns to enterprise and institutional use cases, infrastructure, interoperability, emerging standards and adoption beyond the core protocol.
Planned activities include talks, workshops, EIP Office Hours, roundtables, specification reviews and live EIPsInsight dashboards showing protocol updates. The official site accepts proposals for lightning talks, technical deep-dives, hands-on clinics and panels through its speaker information form, with rolling review.
The EIP Hub website lists Abhimanyu Nag of the University of Alberta, Justin Florentine of Besu, Rachit Anand Srivastava of Avail Project, Loring Harkness of Shutter Network, Yudhishthra of Aqua0 and Dhruv Gera of DashX as participants. A detailed session timetable is still to be announced.
ECH Institute organizes the hub with WiEP (Women in Ethereum Protocol), Ethlabs, EIPs Insight, EtherWorld, ETHShala, ETHCluj and ETH Pune.
Access and hours
The hub RSVP is free, but entry is restricted to Devcon 8 ticket holders. A Luma registration does not provide conference admission; attendees need a separate valid Devcon ticket.
Published hours conflict. The Luma description says 09:00 to 17:00 IST, while its calendar data starts at 21:00 on November 3 and ends at 18:00 on November 6. The hub's own website lists 09:00 to 18:00 for each of the four days. Attendees should confirm the opening and closing hours with the organizer before planning their visit.
